Biscoff Spread. It's so good!

Where did you order a jar from that is came so fast and how much did overnight shipping cost on a $4 jar that you can get at the closest WalMart FoodCenter?

Got it from Amazon and since I have Amazon Prime, shipping is practically nothing. (The cost of Amazon prime divided by a year’s worth of purchases - of which I make many.)

I’m going to make rice krispie treats with it today. I have high hopes.

2 things I know better than to try are Biscoff spread and Nutella. I don’t need another high calorie treat that I love. Oh, I’ll just have a taste of the crack. I probably won’t like it that much. I’ve also managed to keep my kids in the dark about these until recently, when my nephew introduced my daughter to Nutella on Nilla Wafers one day when I was not around.

A friend of mine really does seem to think Nutella is a substitute for peanut butter—she makes her kid Nutella and jelly sandwiches. Not only does that combination sound super gross to me, but she’s generally so conservative when it comes to his food that it causes me quite a bit of .

Unless there’s been a re-write of Dutch but it’s actually Speculaas…you’d get blank stares ordering/looking for speculoos in the Netherlands…slight nitpick

So? What did you think? Did you finish the jar in one sitting? I really need to go check whether I have any left downstairs!

JIF has come out with two Nutella clones, and one is a mocha flavor. My daughter reports that it is better than Nutella. And we, as a family, have decided that Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter is better than the Biscoff spread, but we are unlikely to refuse either one.

Belgium, man…Belgium!

I reluctantly confess that I liked it, but not to the extent others here did. It is very sweet and kind of rich. I still have a bit left.

I didn’t report back because I didn’t want to ruin the thread.

New TJ’s Cookie Butter jar is going fast in my house. Pretzels balance out the sweetness well, although I will admit having a few with CB and Nutella together. With the right ratio, that combo has potential.

At least one kiddie didn’t go for it on pancakes…I tasted the cold leftovers and was also not wowed.

I think a less sweet plain cookie or animal cracker (as Kath94 suggested) is the way to go. Interested to see if any cooked recipes come out over time.

ETA: Amazingly not that fattening…6g fat/1.5 sat fat per tbsp.

Ooh, pretzels! I’m trying that next!

So…anyone tried the spread ON the cookie? Hrm?

I know the board allows cussing, but that’s a bit too far!
