Thanks for reminding me of a good story with your “war on rape” phrase. There was an anecdote I read once, of a fellow who went to a school where there was a serial rapist prowling about. His group passed out fliers encouraging that women get guns to protect themselves, and his group got bashed by the campus’ liberal elite.
The liberals held an anti-rape rally. Yep. Boy-howdy, that rapist sure would think twice when he heard there was an anti-rape rally!!! Hell yeah, I mean clearly this was a rational individual, and as soon as he was informed that rape was immoral, why I bet he quit his habit, pronto! What sort of rapist would continue to keep up his habit of serial violation of people’s personal liberties in the face of such harsh opposition? Yes, surely a politically-charged rally and some strongly worded opposition is enough to make a violent criminal see sense and turn to the straight life.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, “war on rape”. Been reading your Foucault texts and revelling in your postmodernist bullshit, eh? Hopefully someday you’ll realize that language is not necessarily the sole component of violent acts, that rapists are not the result of some abstract social construction, but rather people who happen to be simply disposed towards violent behaviour in general.
When you want to get serious about issues of the female place in modern society, go read The Second Sex, brush up on everything she wrote, and come back and post a nice sensible thread about it. I’ll wait…

I use the word bitch…a lot.
Woman at work too freakin’ lazy to do half her job? Bitch.
Women at the counter of the convience store counter, freakin’ out on me? Bitches. (I may have to make this it’s own thread)
Anyone who cuts me off in traffic? Bitches.
Now, like some people here, I do tend to only call women bitches and men assholes. I don’t know, just sounds odd to me to call a woman an asshole.
Furthermore, as far as calling ME a bitch…if you are my one of my girlfriends, you’ve probably called me bitch endearingly on hundreds of occasions. Random people calling me a bitch? A compliment! Wewt, I pissed you off to the point that you can’t think of anything else to say.
The only time I get pissed about being called a bitch is when the SO does it, when we are arguing. Probably explains why it usually only happens once.
