Just a life clue here buddy, people are bitter for many reasons. Like alphagene, I agree, he is a twisted hate-filled individual, but I dont know why…maybe he has things in his life that make him bitter, so what? I could name a few more, one in particular, but she makes alpha look like Mr Rogers, so she will remain nameless. So am I, on any random day I might be as hateful as could possibly be.

Who knows why we are bitter? Who cares really? Do you really care? Is what this thread is really about : how you want to help all of us to be happy cheek-achingly smiling happy-drones? It aint gonna happen pal.

I, twisted and bitter kellibelli, on behalf of the other twisted and bitter folks, do hearby welcome you to life. Its a rough ride, often lonely, boring, or painful, with the odd happy moment. Admission is free.

You have obviously never been to the land of the “f**k you” attitude - Southern California, - or New York, or Chicago for that matter.
The folks here seem downright friendly for the most part. Disagreeing with your opinion does not qualify them as being bitter, does it?
Also, IMHO people who act like friekin cheerleaders, especially in the A.M. ought to be shot anyways, just on GP.

Personally, I think life is too short to be grumpy, and I firmly believe the right to pursue happiness is an individual thing.

Having said that, I firmly support my fellow Dopers in whatever moods they care to indulge, and your course seems clear to me Upstatic.

Upstatic, you walked in to the SDMB and proclaimed that Cecil and the Mailbag Staff don’t go into enough detail for your liking.

In short, you whined and complained. I’m not grumpy, I jusyt have a very low tolerance for bullshit.

IMO, the Staff here works damn hard answering questions. Christ, just filtering through all the mail has got to be a chore. I converse with a staff member or two from time to time. So you’ll excuse me for whipping your ass into line when you accuse them of being bad journlists.

Don’t act like an ass and them complain about how we’re being bitter.

well, as a deafened person who gets most of his communication through writing, I notice written communication can be mis-understood. Often people get negative feelings readings something not meant to be. Guess the old tonal inflection is needed. This was added with smileys which aren’t really happening so much no more.
