Out of the clear blue, unprovoked, and relative to nothing at all, I just had the startling revelation:
Those cave paintings of animals, when they were viewed by our ancestors (well, maybe your ancestors) by firelight, may have provided the basis for the Jungian archetype of “deer in the headlights” so prevalent today.
If not then, when?
And why do you suppose those guys didn’t paint pictures of the headlights they used to kill those critters? Suppressed information that far back. No wonder we keep secrets. It’s in our blood.
