Yes, but we were under the assumption that, given the OP, it would not be. It turns out he had not already checked msconfig.

BTW, OP, did you keep the file? I’d be interested in finding out how a program does what you said. (It may be as simple as setting the date every time Windows starts up, but it might also be a little more tricky.

I’ve encountered a few of these hacks, one that comes to mind was a crack for “Vidal” french pharmaceutical dictionary that faked a certain BIOS date, I never picked at it, but it still must be siitting around on the net.
