I guess I could have started a new thread in Great Debate to see if you could back up your racist crap, but I would rather just tell you to fuck off you racist piece of shit.
Good God. So Dio’s a closet racist. Plus, he has no grasp of American musical history…or even of American popular music. “Imbecillic [sic] jug music” indeed. Yutz.
The attitude is an indicator. He’s thinking in terms of “an entire race of people is better at something than another entire race of people,” when there’s no evidence or reason that this is so.
Oh, blow me. It’s like saying that men are taller than women. It’s not true that all men are taller than all women, but , in general, men tend to be taller than women.
As to my thesis that black people are better at music than white people. I have two words: Jimi Hendrix. Checkmate.
Wait a minute. Writing is supposed to be on the creative side. Dio, quick, explain this conundrum for this unimaginative white guy.
By the way, I’m in advertising. There are quite a few predominantly black and black-owned agencies. I’m still waiting for the first great idea to come out of one.
Go ahead. I think it’s probably true that whites have made more scientific advances than blacks.
None of this is genetic, though, it’s cultural. That study in the other thread on right brain/left brain pedagocical differences in culture makes a lot of sense. White European classical music was sterile and mathematic and rigid. Black folks had to show them how to incorporate blue notes and more relaxed rhythms and whatnot. It’s more expressionistic and less rational. Since music is the most abstract and most expressionistic of all the arts, it’s the most amenable to right brain creative processes.
So yeah, I think black musicians and composers tend to be better than white ones. If that makes me a racist then shave my head.
By the way, which race am I biased against by this metric? If I think Black music is better, does that mean I hate whites or blacks? I’m very confused.
