Eh. Not gonna miss him - if ever there was anyone more annoying than the l337 Hax0rs l8r d00ds, Blackacre was it.
I do wish some of the newbies settle down before they get banned, though. I remmeber when START first got on, he was always teetering on the verge of chucking himself out the window - he seems to be posting quality (if slightly grammatically incorrect 
) stuff nowadays.
He was banned because he was acting obnoxiously, but I can’t help but think that the cutesy signature didn’t help his cause.
A lady at my work uses a similar signature and it drives me insane. A typical e-mail would be:
Dear Lisa,
I’m in Geneva all next week. Can we reschedule my 3pm meeting?

For some reason, it struck me as slightly creepy to sign your e-mails like that and it made me want to sign the reply with something similarly obnoxious:

This isn’t a “bash Blackacre” thread. No one is “attacking” him. I just want to know what happened. No one seems to know, exactly.
Stating your opinion that you thought someone seemed like a worthless troll is not attacking them. No one is accusing him of doing anything other than trolling, which is true and you know it. I bet its why he got the boot. So what’s yer point Lib? Feeling down and need an ego boost by acting holier-than-thou?

I don’t think there was truly any “last straw” here. He trolled with brazen stupidity, he bumped threads with brazen stupidity, he insulted members of the SDMB who just happened to belong to a specific group of people, he constantly spewed shit, and I have no doubt that once the Mod Machine got rolling and noticed all of the reported posts, they decided to end his membership here.

The best way to be rid of it, and any further socks, is simply to let this and any other threads by or about it drop off the face of the earth. It was an attention whore, pure and simple, and keeping these threads going is just giving it more attention.

Actually, you’re not allowed to accuse other posters of trolling. At this point, his trolling is an established fact, and he is no longer a poster here. Therefore, I think the rule to which you refer no longer applies.
Actually, I think it’s that you can’t call the person a troll. You can describe a post as a trolling post, or his behaviour as trolling, but you can’t call him a troll.

According to a post by Gaudere, you do recall correctly but damned if I can find it. That said, they don’t mind us using the “T” word after the fact AFAICT.
God, wouldn’t it be great to, as a community, ignore a troll and see how long it takes for it to explode?? It could be like a SDMB Staring Contest!
