Hello, I upgraded blackberry app world and the icon no longer appears on the screen. I have a blackberry 9780 white. I have searched all over the net and this is a big problem but I’m having no luck finding a solution. I have deleted and reinstalled app world 20 times i’ve done all the reboots and still no fix. The only thing I haven’t tried is downgraded my version of appworld. The reason being none of the dozen or so links i’ve found work anymore. Does anyone have a solution for this problem it’s so fustrating I could smash my phone off the wall
Options - Device - Application Management: Is the appworld app there and is it a higher vintage than 4.0.0.55?
Options - Device - About Device Versions: Is the OS earlier than 6.0.0.706?
On BlackBerry 6 OS versions prior to 6.0.0.706 and the App World Icon is not visible, please download and install the BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.55.
Open the BlackBerry Browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Browse to BlackBerry – Intelligent Security. Everywhere.
After download, please restart your BlackBerry smartphone when prompted.
Verify that BlackBerry App World is located on the home screen.
BlackBerry 6 smartphones with an upgrade path to BlackBerry 6.0.0.706 OS or higher should upgrade to the latest version of BlackBerry Device software available from the wireless service provider in order to resolve multiple issues with BlackBerry Balance.
