Blackberry or pda or notebook

I am looking for a new phone and was thinking about a blackberry but I have needs

I need a toy that will allow me to fill out a simple document like a word doc or a basic web document and then send that document to another pc or network (either wireless or with a dock)

nothing complicated, kinda like filling out a questionnaire with a few boxes for numbers and a small box for some notes (kinda like posting a thread)

can a blackberry do that or should I be looking at a pda or notebook instead?

I can explain better tomorrow when I’m awake. But a blackberry is not going to work for you. I’m a big fan of the BB but you really can’t create or edit a word or excel sheet. You can view but not augment.

If you really want a phone that can do that your goning to want something made by HTC or some other windows mobile phone.

Ihope that helps a little.

Like I said I’ll sign in later with more details and suggestions

sweet thanks, I would love a phone and pda style set up in one like the BB but really have no idea whats out there to suit my needs. I do have a friend who has some thing with a mobiles windows on it and hates the battery life (I have no idea if the 2 are tied together or not) but my guess is its her battery or her phone and not windows mobile.

looking forward to hearing more

I think this might be better off in IMHO.

Honestly it’s been my experiences that your battery is going to suck on any WMD. If that’s the only thing holding you back get a car charger and call it a day.

If you let me know what provider your with I can make some better recommendations.

I haven’t used it yet, but my BB has a Google docs program. The BB is less customizable than the PDA’s, so I think your preference would depend on your desire to futz with that sort of thing.

I just bought the Palm Treo 700P last week. I love it. Battery life sucks on any phone like this, especially when utilizing wireless funtions. I can create Word and Excel documents, I can email them or even beam them to another phone or PC wirelessly. It’s extremely easy to use and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
I have mine through Verizon by the way.
