US centric world view! After the Pakistanis were killed and the mult-national offensive started, there were literally hundreds of such attacks by “Allied” (for the want of a better word, most of the forces there were under a UN mandate, not UN Forces) troops all over. Its unlikely one attack would have provoked such outrage.
It was always my understanding that the warlords merely wanted the UN troops to get the hell out so that they could get back to slaughtering their enemies in relative freedom. Hell, the warlords were blatantly taking relief supplies off of UN trucks in front of armed troops with impunity. Hundreds of thousands of Somalis were starved and murdered by their own people.
