YOU GO AROUND WITH THESE VIEWS THAT SCIENCE CANNOT BE RIGHT IF IT DOES NOT COINCIDE WITH YOUR LITERAL TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY BIBLE. INSTEAD OF RE-EVALUATING YOUR FAITH, AS LUTHER SUGGESTED, YOU BREAK OUT THE “NYAH-NYAH, I CAN’T HEAR YOU” ARGUMENT!
THE REST OF US WANT TO HELP THE WORLD BECOME A BETTER PLACE, FOCUSING ON ISSUES LIKE FEEDING THE HUNGRY, STOPPING WARS AND THE LIKE. MANY OF YOUR MAIN AIMS FOCUS ON THE DEBUNKING OF SCIENTIFIC FACTS THAT HAVE BEEN DEFENDED SUCCESSFULLY FOR CENTURIES!
Yeesh. So what? Evolution - Creation, that happened a LONG time ago.
What really upsets me are the Christian “Pro-Life” zealots that think it’s supporting the “Pro-LIFE” movement to kill people, doctors, bomb clinics, etc.
THAT’S the thing that scares me. I hate having people get the impression that this is part of Christianity. I am by no means a fan of abortion, but such people sicken and frighten me more than I can express. The Evolution/Creation thing is nuthin’ by comparison.
Well, at least if you can make it past the science controversy, you get treated to nice little exchanges like this, with such juicy nuggets as:
“The bible refers to God as male. If you say it says anything else you are wrong. If you say you are not wrong, then you must be saying that the bible is wrong.”
followed by
“I totally agree. If you say that God is female, neither male nor female, anything other than male, that contradicts the Bible. That is the same as saying the Bible is wrong and I am right. Jesus refered to God as His Father…father being a mascukine word…is Jesus a liar??”
and 3 pages of discussion of how the use of male pronouns in the bible makes it heresy to refer to God as “mother” instead of “father”.
