Blue-Headed Bear !!

“I’ve become interested in Life,” said Dr. Manhatten. “I think I’ll create some.”
His early experiments were not encouraging.

I just took a look at the video, as opposed to the still picture. At one point she turns her head toward the sun, and it really does appear that the right ear and head have white fur instead of brown or black.

What’s in that blue liquid they use in porta-potties? Would it bleach fur like that? I’d think anything that could bleach fur would also bleach out blue dye, but maybe strong peroxide? Do bears get into porta-potties? (Can’t imagine what the attraction would be.)

Maybe the bear was born with a white head, and some kind soul tried to dye it black to prevent targeting from hunters/animals? I could see a dye bleaching back to that over time. . .

Another (less likely) possibility: Occasionally when aquarium snails are born with a white shell and a black body, they come out looking blue. Blue Mystery Snail Maybe this bear has a mutation which causes the follicle to place a black layer at the shaft of the hair and a white one in the sheath?

Snail pic isn’t working, here’s another.

Some idiot human thought they grabbed bear mace but it was actually spray paint.

New Banksy project?

With the right lighting, it’s clear the bear is actually white and gold.

Am I the only one who sees a gold bear with a white head?

Social Media sent me this video today. Watch, and you’ll see the bear has the same white hair illusion when it’s head turns in the sun. So maybe that part is just normal - or perhaps a result of swimming in human’s chlorinated pools?
