BMW Dopers: My new M Series engine!

Here it is . . .

Ack, image trouble. Hold on . . .

My new Maple Series engine!

Looks more like a sycaMore Series to me!

Be prepared to leaf people in the dust!

I just contacted BMW in Germany.
Evidently one has to add a few Walnuts to keep it in warranty.
That is one reason why BMW’s are so expensive to maintain.

Upon closer inspection, Methinks you’re right.

Does it come with the self-destructive electric water pump? The one that costs $800 to replace?

Oh, yes! Also featured in this Money Series is replacement of the plasti-radiator.

Be careful about getting acorns in there. The squirrels like eating both them *and *remarkably expensive wiring harnesses.

BMW has a fix for that. Intended for weasels, but should work on squirrels, too.

Could I harness the squirrels into the wiring and have them use their little hands to tighten the hardware on my radiator fan? Do they have to imported from Munich to do so? The manual says they have to be OEM squirrels . . .

You need the left-handed squirrels from Munich for that application. Right-handed squirrels from the Spartanburg plant are only used on the air filter hold-down nuts. Different factory tools are used for each installation and a special programming adaptor is also required.

See your Authorized BMW Service Center for more details. Bring a large suitcase of unmarked bills and a first-born child. A blond one. With papers.
