Now I knew about the “winter of lost content thing”, is this what FisherQueen was referencing? I know my membership says that I’ve been here since 09-26-2001, but there was a big gap in the time I joined and the time I became a regular poster. I was just looking for a little SDMB history clarification. Bonus points for enlightening me on which board everybody relocated to.

I remember it - it was in the spring of 2002 and the board was relocated to a forum on bbboy.net - set up and paid for by TubaDiva, I think.
It was a bit of a hoot at first, because lots of the default features were initially unlocked, so for example, there was a ‘whoview’ tag that would insert the username of whoever was reading it (assuming they were logged in), so someone could post a thread saying:
, and everyone reading it would see their own username in there and think it meant them.
