Yeah. Lots of stuff on the tv news, too. but Mr. Hope lived a good, long life, and he made so many people laugh.

Back in 1998 there were false rumors of Hope’s death:

On Friday, an Associated Press story claiming that Bob Hope had died was posted on their website ( http://www.ap.org/ ). This news was read by thousands of netizens before the AP had the chance to remove it. News reporters, photographers, friends, and family all swarmed upon Hope’s residence in California to get the full scoop on the story. The death was even announced on the floor of the US House of Representatives (yes, even our congressmen apparently believe what they read on the Internet).
