Bob Ley, who was at ESPN since the beginning will retire at the end of the month.

This sucks. For a long time he was the best thing on the network. His show Outside the Lines set a standard for sports investigative journalism. At least that is in good hands with Ryan Smith.

Enjoy your retirement Bob, you’ve earned it.

Always like Bob, he kept to the facts. But I haven’t watched ESPN for a couple years now. I don’t even know who Ryan Smith is.

He has been a good reporter. He’s a very poor commentator/announcer, in my opinion.
