I have a couple of his albums. There’s a weird mistake on them, though, something in the mix or the pressing. When he’s talking on the phone with someone, you can only hear him and the other person’s voice doesn’t come through at all.
I always wondered if they fixed that on the re-issues.

Me too! I recall one where he’s on the phone to a Dr Davis, and always forgets who he’s talking to when he mentions a certain word. Absolute genius. Thing is, you know what’s coming, but the buildup is awesome…
