Bob & Tom

I listen to these guys every morning.

Anybody else?

Most mornings. I love these guys, but I can’t take them every morning.

I lived in Indy for a while and they were on the radio there…I can’t stand them. I would rather listen to Howard Stern! They are definitely the most sexist men I have ever encountered.

But hey, my brother still lives there and loves them.

Howard Stern or nothing for me…

Yer pal,
Satan

Does anyone here listen to the Dick Dale show? It’s juvenile, but it cracks me up every time.

I LOVE Bob and Tom! I listen to them every day. Tom has a sexy voice, in my opinion.

I’m from Indianapolis, but I live in southern California. Most of Bob & Tom’s stuff I consider funny–you couldn’t pay me to get me to listen to Howard Stern (who has the same birthday–January 12–as Rush Limbaugh!!).
Maybe it’s because they are so “blatantly sexist” that the humor exists; it’s so obvious to the listeners that their on-air characters are obtuse in that way.
They said about Jim Bakker in song:
Keep it in your pants, Jimmy, get down and praise the Lord
You can’t keep pullin’ out that thing whenever you get bored
Keep it in your pants, Jimmy, and mend your evil ways
Next time you climb in a bed make sure it’s Tammy Faye’s!

No, but sometimes I listen to Bob and Ray. Where’s UkeleleIke on this one?

I can’t stand them. Over half the show consists of them laughing at their own jokes, directly into the mike. If I wanted to hear a couple of morons telling stupid jokes and laughing in my ear, I’d invite a few of my old coworkers out to lunch.

Hey, AuraSeer, did you ever hear what they did about the Exxon Valdez? They sang this to an old sea song?
What shall we do with the drunken sailor?
What shall we do with the drunken sailor?
What shall we do with the drunken sailor? Hire him on at Exxon!!
They take a lot of good pot-shots at pretentious and dishonest people, you know.

Bob & Tom are a lot like Saturday Night Live. When they’re “on” they’re hysterical. When they’re “off” they’re embarrassing.

I live close enough to Boston so I can start my day with Robert J. On Saturdays at least.

Living near Chicago, I used to listen to Wendy & Bill on Q101. then they got the axe, so Q101 could get Mancow. Since I hate Mancow, I migrated to Eric & Kathy on the Mix which is no Wendy & Bill, but thankfully, it’s no Mancow either.

Besides, I’m getting too old for ‘alternative’

Anyway, my girlfriend has a stack of Bob & Tom CDs since she’s from Indy. I’ll listen to a few and report back to you.

One station local to me, KFMX, brought in Bob and Tom when the old morning crew broke up…they’re by far the most hated morning show in town. A lot of B&T hate messages show up on KFMX’s guestbook, http://www.kfmx.com/guestbook.htm.
I can’t say I blame them. I’ve listened, and I don’t know what y’all see in Bob and Tom.

When I first heard “Prison Bitch” I laughed so hard I cried!

But nothing prepares for the insipid stereotypical redneck humor that is John Boy & Billy. Yuk.

My god!

Ok, Have you ever seen him? These two men are so…I can’t even think of the words to describe their horrible appearances. Once they put them on a huge billboard in Indy, I took a detour.

Any Kev-Heads around?

I saw that billboard on the Beltway when I was in Indianapolis last year. Someone in the airport told me it has caused collisions!

There are obviously Bob & Tom fans among the Teeming Millions…does one of you have the album “Motorheads?” I have it myself, but the first part (cassette) was accidentally erased. I’d like to make some kind of arrangement to get the lost part re-recorded. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
