All along, it’s seemed like Bobby Brown has been in denial about how serious his daughter’s condition was, and going by this this article I gather that hasn’t changed.
This story is trending on Facebook under “Whitney Houston” for obvious reasons, and the blurb says “Singer moved to hospice care,” so I was MIGHTY confused.
Yeah. I think she’s been dead while; it just took awhile for her family to let her go.
Which makes me wonder how that girl who died after having her tonsils removed is doing? Her family refused to let her go, too. Last I read, they were still hoping for a miracle. Which makes me sad for them. It’s bad enough to lose a child. To be in that constant fluxuation between hope and despair must be hell on earth.
Now we wait and see whether the Georgia prosecutor will charge her boyfriend Nick Gordon with murder, or with some lesser charge that caused her eventual death. (He is in Florida with his mother right now.) An autopsy has been done on BK but the results were inconclusive. BK’s family has filed a lawsuit against Nick accusing him of causing her injuries and stealing $11,000 from her bank account while she was in a coma.
Jahi McMath, the girl who had complications after a tonsillectomy, is still brain dead although her family refuses to believe it. They are getting her 24-hour care paid for by Medicaid in New Jersey. They are filing yet another lawsuit against the hospital, hoping for a big settlement.
Which is why it’s to their advantage for her to be “alive.” As I understand it, California has a cap on damages for malpractice if it results in death.
What’s the Straight Dope on the whole boyfriend/husband thing?
The news reports all say that her family disputes that the marriage ever happened. Seems like it should be easy to verify one way or another though.
