What a twit…
I loathe the idea of keeping exotic animals as pets. Even where the people involved are trained professionals, accidents happen. (As people have been saying, look at Roy…) When any twit can get a large feline for a pet… do these people realize that dogs and cats have thousands of years of selective breeding to make 'em tolerant of humans?

There was a story a few years ago about a kid showing up to school sleeping in class because the baby tiger in his bedroom was hungry and wanted to play and was chewing on him!!! And you know what happened? They took the effing tiger to a rescue facility, and left the kid with the parents…

I’m sorry that the tiger was killed, but… I don’t think it was a grave injustice, at that point. The injustice was letting Sipek own that animal for so long after it had mauled someone else.

A person doesn’t have the ability to knock a 225lb hand to hand combat trained cop down and rip his throat out in one swift manuever. * Maybe* if the person was 600lbs had 3’ long fangs could out run/accelerate anyone and could rip limbs off you could make a comparison.

2. You cannot preform an autopsy on an animal. Again, by definition. The word they were looking for is necropsy. (Or even postmortem examination.)

Actually, I know quite a few people who could take out a cop in one shot. Just to make sure we’re on the same page here, I think the cop did the right thing, Tarzan’s an idiot, and his neighbors are worse.

I feel bad for the tiger, but under the circumstances, I suppose it was understandable. I can’t bring myself to feel bad for the idiot owner, though. Tigers ARE dangerous animals, and should not be pets. Period.
