Out of those two bunches of barbarians, who do you hate more?
Not to oversimplify, but one is mainly known for kidnapping girls for brides. The other is known for ethnic/religious cleansing whole cities and kidnapping girls for brides.
And I suppose one is a bigger threat to oil if you wanna be realpolitik.
Hey, remember that time a bunch of girls in Africa were kidnapped and everyone cared for a week? Then I think we got distracted with coming up with silly ways to dump ice water on our heads.
Anyway, I don’t “hate” either of them. I think both are a bunch of bad people and understand why players in the global power community would want to take action against them (and agree that it’s a good idea) but I don’t spend much of my energy being mad at them or anything. If I had to pick a group it would be best to stop first, it would be ISIS.
I hate them both the same. Just in different ways.

I have friends in Northern Cameroon, so I’m pretty grumpy about BH.
That said, they are a bunch of bored would-be thugs lead by a loon.
ISIS is whom I hate more, since the potential domino effect is larger in their case.
I’m going to say Boku Haram because every time I see or hear the name I get that Conquistador song stuck in my head, and I don’t know all the words so I just hang in the middle and get caught in a loop.
I always wonder at the use of the word ‘hate’ in this sort of context, do people genuinely get feelings of anger and hatred (as the word is commonly understood) or is it just a term for ‘people we really really dislike’
I don’t “hate” either of them but they don’t really seem like nice people.
On a sidenote the rise of ISIS has given a rather unfortunate new connotation to the classic H.L. Mencken quote:
“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”
