Bomb hostages? Hillary HQ in NH? What IS this sh!t?

Yeah, good job with that, like. Whoosh. Good job. Damn. You go. Funny stuff. Whoosh and everything. Good job.

The hostage “crisis” is apparently over, peacefully. The “bomb” seems to have actually been a number of road flares strapped together with duct tape. The suspect is a 46-year-old local man named Leeland Eisenberg, who apparently has a reputation as a bit of a nutcase.

It appears it’s going to be hard to derive much of long-term significance from this.

People eat chocolate covered ants and grasshoppers, even when they would never eat an ant or a grasshopper au naturel. Behold, the power of chocolate…

In late news, the “bomber” gave himself up hours after letting the 2 staffers go. His bomb turned out to be road flares duct-taped to his shirt. They’re reporting 2 different names for him, and suggesting he was a well-known local nutbar.

Thanks, I thought it was at least as serious as dipping the candidate in chocolate.

Was he covered in chocolate?

Was he tight with Babs?

ETA

There’s this nice older lady I work with, so far I have gotten along well with her. Today someone mentioned to her the hostage situation at the Hillary Clinton campaign HQ, and she says she’d heard about it, and then says “Good, maybe she’ll get scared and…do what she should be doing.”

I had to bite my tongue because I don’t want to antagonize co-workers at a new job (even if it is temp), but this is one of the most infuriating examples of insane Hillary-hate I’ve seen yet. She is essentially condoning terrorism on the grounds that it might scare a candidate out of running for office. This disgusts me, I’m no democrat myself and I don’t like Hillary Clinton, but how could any American think it would be a good thing if some psycho causes a popular candidate to drop out of the race through terrorism?

I had to do a double-take when I opened this evening’s paper.

Oh, and  just for good measure.

Because we’re all terrible people, we decided this would ultimately be the case while at work tomorrow. No one in Rochester is smart enough to make a real bomb.

I’ll admit that I’m surprised that Clinton didn’t take a page out of Rudy’s book and turn the problem into a fine photo op opportunity. I hope people don’t vote for her being a poor victim, though.

Minor and completely unrelated nitpick: photo op = photo opportunity. Photo op opportunity = photo opportunity opportunity.

Like I said, very minor.

Actually, I was going to add that I thought you might be pulling a whoosh (I was, I really was!), but I’ve seen such unmitigated hatred for Barbra and Oprah just for existing, I wasn’t really sure.

You picked up on that, but not the fact that I said we talked about it at work tomorrow instead of yesterday? :stuck_out_tongue: I swear I’m not from Rochester myself, multiple errors in the last post not withstanding. Maybe I’ll make not typing while people are talking to me my new year’s resolution

Dang, I was hoping life would imitate South Park with the existence of a snuke or something.

Now I want to watch that episode again.
