I found out about this movie in a dystopian book thread. It isn’t a book, it is a movie with Denzel Washington, Mila Kunis and Gary Oldman.

I’ve read it is “The Postman” only with Denzel rather than Kevin Costner. I can’t figure out if that is a good or bad thing. I liked the book, and the movie was rather meh, but both are intertwined in my head.

Disclaimer: I’m a huge fan of post-apocalyptic/dystopian fiction, so it looks as yummy as chocolate pound cake to me.

I just found out about it yesterday. I think Ray Stevenson is in it too.

I don’t get it… what book is he trying to protect? The bible?

I was thinking something more sciencey ala A Canticle for Leibowitz, until I remembered the story starts 30 years after the nukes dropped.

Yeah, what’s he protecting?

From the way he fights everyone off, it must be an ancient tome of martial arts! The legendary Buddha’s Palm technique! Or the Toad Style of the Kwan school!
