Book recommendations please

As the thread title says, I am hoping you guys and gals can help me with some book recommendations. I do not read very much, but the latest series I read was The Dark Tower series of novels by Stephen King and I really enjoyed the entire octalogy . Before The Dark Tower, I cannot remember the last book I read that wasn’t a technical manual or certification study guide. I would like some recommendations along the lines of The Dark Tower series, if you have any.

Thank in advance.

How bout the uncut edition of The Stand to get some Randall Flagg backstory? And an amazing cast of characters?

And just to clarify a bit…

I do have several Stephen King audio books and have been listening to them on my way to and from work every day. I’m looking something epic and fantasy with possible ties to the real world, but this isn’t a requirement.

I’ve got that one queued up for my drive and will be listening to it after I finish Desperation. I’m looking for something to actually read rather than listen to since playing it from a thumb drive in the truck doesn’t really work for when I’m not in the vehicle. When I pull the jumpdrive from the truck I lose my place in the story. So, I figured if I could listen to SK books in the truck (I’ve got dozens of his audio books for my driving) and have a physical book(s) I was reading at home in the evenings, that would be ideal for me.

Thanks again for your recommendations.

Zelazny?

Oh, and check out The Talisman if you haven’t already.

Oh that sounds good. Thanks for the link. I’ll check the series out.

Yeah I listened to that one a few months ago. I’ve got pretty much all of the King audio books up to, I think, 2014 or so. I go them as a package deal and it includes dozens of audio books.

Just a WAG - you might be interested in Neal Stephenson’s “Baroque Cycle”. It’s more historical fiction than fantasy but is definitely epic (three huge books).
