Borderlands 3(?) teaser, Mask of Mayhem

If you’re going to play this game, you should definitely get used to that.

HA!
Yeah, I play on PC, but this is one of the few games I play with a controller. At my age, my aiming ability is awful no matter what I use, so I might as well be comfortable.

Well I ended up picking it up after all before it left sale on Steam, but more out of stay-at-home boredom than any increase in interest. Out of all the games that were supposed to be releasing this Spring, everything on PC got delayed except DOOM Eternal, which is a bit frantic for my current mood. It’s not bad, haven’t been seriously grabbed at 4 hours or so, but having fun with the Mech chick Moze.

I’m wondering if DOOM is gonna sell crazy numbers, simply because it is the only new game dropped as people start to get cabin fever.Well other than Animal Crossing, but different systems, not to mention vastly different markets.

Also, speaking of controllers, I have been playing it with one as well, and it gives a hell of a lot of fudge room for aiming. At least a hell of a lot compared to when I last played BL2 in Ultimate VH mode. It’s almost comical how often I get a crit head shot with a hip-fired revolver at 75-100 yards.

I imagine Bethesda accidentally including the non-drm exe for Doom Eternal in the launcher helped opening day numbers.

I really looked forward to this game, but I kind of petered out at level 11.

It doesn’t seem like there are a lot of side quests and I took every one I ran across. Still, I ended up on a level 12 quest at level 11 and it kept kicking my ass. I looked around for side quests but couldn’t find any, then got tired of driving around trying to find things to kill to level up.

Done with it for now, I imagine I’ll go back sometime. Probably start over with a different character. I used the mech girl and wasn’t having a lot of fun with it.

Picked this up on Steam a week ago. Fortunately, I’ve not had that problem, Sicks Ate. Plenty of quests to keep me going. Lots of things not explained, though. Had to search to find out how to check the email. If that ever popped up on-screen, it was only for a hot second. I have no idea which key boosts vehicle speed, and I can’t find it in the options or online. The one I saw gave the wrong key…the default key for horn. I find the drop rates pretty improved from the previous games. At least now I’m getting weapons that can actually help.

Have you tried shift codes? They publish some codes(you can google) that give you golden keys for the big chest on Sanctuary. I don’t want to waste them at low levels, but I did use one to see the loot type, and got a gold pistol, that is helping me kick ass.

nm, already expired I guess.

My experience as well. And after reading some advice online not to try quests under-leveled, I too looked for ways to level up.

I eventually gave up finding side quests and went on down to the planet. I played through several stages (including meeting Lorelei, and fighting a couple of boss-types), and it wasn’t too bad. I have a couple of decent weapons, though (purely drops, not Shift rewards).

There is for sure(I tried it first this time  ) An active 5 key shift code, for all platforms.

The legendaries are much more common in general though. In BL2 I think I was level 25 before I got my first non-story gold item (Lilith gave a gold Shield in an early chapter IIRC) on my 1st char playthrough.

In BL3 at level 18 I have found 5 in normal gameplay, from boss drops and Typhoon Deleon stashes mostly.

I’m done with Gearbox. Fuck Randy Pitchford.

Yeah I read that this morning, that’s pretty messed up.

Cant’ decide if I want to boycott the DLC now, or buy it to help the devs out with their bonus…

How did I just learn about this?!?! Borderlands, The Movie:
