How many people were born in the United States in 1963? I’m helping someone find his adopted-out sister, and we’re trying to get an idea of how many women fit the same birthdate.
4,098,020. That number is from the CDC, and it’s a lowball figure that doesn’t account for non-registered births.
Here’s a link to the PDF file that I got that data from:
It lists births, with age-of-mother and race breakdowns, from 1933 to 1998.
/365 = 11,227.
Cut that roughly in half to rule out the boys and you’ve got 5,613.
Narrow it down by state - and hopefully hospital if you have that information - and you might just be in business.
It won’t be easy but at least ~5,000 is a manageable number. Good luck.
Thanks to both of you for your help.
