Denny finds himself attracted after all to Bethany the Badger. And I swear I saw a promo with Denny in the wrestling ring. Was that Alan as his opponent?
We’ll find out.

I am curious to see whether they can make it through this episode without any dwarf-tossing jokes.
Well that was at least moderately delicious. Some nice guest appearances, from our favorite ADA and judge, to Catherine Piper leading Alan into the ring, to… was that Isaac from Sports Night in an uncredited appearance as the ‘official’? The voice certainly sounded like him in the (very) short time he was on.
The episode mixed together a couple of its own plots while moving along all of the stuff we had already been introduced to, and the mix worked extremely well. You’d think Alan would know that Kirk could totally take him, though.
The dwarf fainted!
Good ep overall. I hope they paid Spader extra–or had a stand-in—for the scene with Shatner squatting on his head! I can’t quite get that bright orange potbelly image out of my mind just yet…
Interesting subplot with the homeless guy eating his dead friend’s body; great scenes between Denny and Bethany.
Yeah, that was a bit scary. Why did they have to cover up Spader so much? Even if he’s a little pale and doughy he’d still be nicer to look at. I had to walk away from the set when Denny sat in his head, I could feel his pain. I do hope for Spader’s sake that they got a stand-in for that.
During the cannibal scenes I had that old joke running through my head, “I met a guy the other day who said he hadn’t had a bite in two weeks, so I bit him.”
That threw me a little, until I realized it’s the name of the character, not actress Betty White, who’s 84(!), BTW.
Clothes pins in Denny’s ear lobes. Price less.
"If I should ever need any money…"¨
“My check is blank!”
“or pick your brains…”
“My mind is blank!”
The Shirley obsession seemed to be only an excuse to have the wrestling match.
“Could you eat me?”
“Well… might be afraid of the mad cow…”
“We’re Flamingoes”
Great episode. That therapist is too creepy. Now I’m starting to suspect he killed the judge’s wife.
Why didn’t New Guy Attorney (forgot his name already) ask the cops to question Peepie again, after Denise noticed the flowers?
I think Cannibal Guy could have been skinnier, if he hadn’t eaten for two weeks. Unless jail food put some weight back on him. Not sure how I felt about what he did. Are there no soup kitchens? But I’ve heard roasting flesh smells like pork, so I might have been drooling too.
Are unclaimed bodies really “left to rot”?
And is Cannibal Guy going to have some problems cashing that check?
Ditto on Spader being covered up. If Shatner’s okay with looking ridiculous, Spader should be too.
Actually, that’s a quite a behavior model.
eek.
I was a bit apprehensive about the Shirley-chasing when I saw the preview for this ep as I am tiring of that plot thread. But it was nicely done.
I really wonder sometimes if Shatner and Spader improvise all their lines when they are on the balcony. Hands down that is the best part of any episode.
Any other Star Trek Deep Space Nine fans in the house? If so you had to LOVE the scene between Paul and the husband of the murdered judge. Odo and Quark, together again!!!
There are no words to describe the hilarity of the wrestling scene - pure comedy gold!
Agree the creepiness factor of the psychiatrist is increasing exponentially. I’m getting a little tired of this murder case so I hope they wrap it up soon.
I hope they keep Bethany around she is holding her own with this cast! Maybe if she can hook up with Brad, that would be interesting.
Spader’s Comment (not verbatim) “Are we winning too much? Does it ruin the suspense” was awesome. I was just thinking that as they read the verdict. In fact, I can’t remember a time when they lost.
Good show, I almost always forget to watch the show, so I only catch 2 or 3 episodes a season, and yet, I still enjoy the shows without knowing what was going on. Shatner seems to have found his perfect role at long last. Apparently he is playing himself. This is a better comedy then most comedies. It reminds me of the first 2 years of Ally McBeal.
Jim {I should probably think about recording this show every week}
Yeah, I was ready to bitch about it again, but I’m starting to buy it. But it got me to thinking about what makes a woman “phenomenal” in bed.
What they’re doing with Bethany is working for me – developing the character without making her size the major aspect – and it looks like it’s working for Denny too.
“The dwarf fell!”
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
slight correction: “The dwarf fainted”

Just got around to watching it last night–the Odo/Quark reunion was great! I’m only sorry that it was such a heavy dramatic scene–in a show as chock full of in-jokes as BL , it would have been the perfect spot for one.
Anyone else beginning to think the shrink did it? The “creepy peepy” is just a bit too obvious–after all, anyone could have taken those flowers from his garden.
