This will be the episode that would have been shown last week except for the wildfire 20/20 special.
A woman wants Alan to advise her on how to kill that man that murdered her daughter.

Is elevator woman gone yet? Let me know when she is, and I’ll start watching again.
Watched it, fast-forwarded elevator woman’s scenes, and I think it was the best BL in a long time, including the balcony scene. “Hope springs a kernel!”
“What did God tell you to do?”
“Shoot him in the head.”
I laughed. I cried.
Katie is an excellent addition to the cast.
And I agree that the registered sex offender laws need to be looked at. It was nice that the writers didn’t get all preachy about it.
I wonder if they’ll follow up on Washington’s story, if we’ll ever find out who killed him.
I’m sure his killer was someone in that congregation.
“Hope springs a kernel.” Fantastic!
The blonde or the priest?
They did it together!
As much as I liked this show in the past, every episode has been piss poor this year. I can’t stand Katie, I hate the new redheaded nymph. John Larroquette has been wasted so far, too little Shatner, I just took BL off my DVR.
Before I give up on the show forever, could someone explain why they like Katie? She is annoying and wins cases despite apparently being terminally stupid.
Jim
I like Katie partly because of her nose. I love that the actress hasn’t fixed it. Unless it was short and pert and she gave it a bump so she wouldn’t look like everybody else.
I also like her because unlike most of the other women we’ve seen on BL, she’s a good actress, and she’s not playing a sex kitten or a tough broad, or a tough sex kitten. She comes off as a human being first, lawyer second. I’ll bet she’s just as nice in real life as she is on the show.
And I’m a sucker for British accents.
I hate the redheaded nymph too. Somebody tell Nip/Tuck to come get their slut.
I think Tara summers (Katie) is a very good actress, danged attractive, and a delightful addition to the show (but for that matter I think everyone on that show, even the transient actors like the guy who played Washington and the woman he was convicted of raping, are invariably very good actors).
I didn’t like the “teh EVIL Christians” storyline, which I thought was patently ridiculous. I’ve known a great many Christians in my life and none of them ever behaved like that, nor would they.
I agree that there’s been too little Shatner and that Laroquette has been underutilized, and I thought the balcony scene, while still charming and funny, was below par.
All in all, I still find BL good enough to look forward to each week, but not as good as in seasons past.
I thought it was a thoroughly cheap and manipulative move to kill off Joseph. It added nothing to the story or the theme of the ep. except to add that oh-so-POIGNANT/IRONIC little dig that Kelley can’t seem to resist. It’s been an old reliable for him for ages, but it ignores the humanity of the character to score some gratuitous points about a bunch of nobodys (oh, sorry, “Society”) we’ll never see on the show again.
And I’m truly disturbed that Alan took on the case of defending the Revenge Killer after her free admission in his office. I really hope he very passive-agressively undermines his own case and loses intentionally, but I’m not optimistic (and adding the new African-American lawyer, whom I can’t stand, doesn’t help).
Knowing Kelley, the RK will get off, only to be gunned down herself on the courtroom steps by the mother of the man she gunned down. Oh-the-IRONY!
I actually thought this episode was a little worse than some of the recent ones… I have definitely been happier with this show this season than I was for much of last season. Agreed that Tara Summers is a great addition, though at some point they’re going to have to push her character past “she’s a human in addition to a lawyer!”
