Boston Legal 3/14

Jayne Brook did some good screaming when they came to take her away.
Alan gave an impassioned speech–or was it jibber-jabber? You be the judge.
I’m glad Paul is getting more screen time these days.

Come on, Legalites. Weigh in with your verdicts!

Has it always been on at 10:00? If so, I’m kinda pissed at myself. I thought it was at 9:00, putting it against at first Earl/Office or Supernatural. This was the first episode I’ve seen all season and I loved it.

Alan’s speech was awesome.

I loved the look Alan got as the prosecutor was winding up his closing. It looked something like oh good, now I have something to be angry about. And be angry he did. I probably would have found her quilty of tax avoision*, but that was a baaad argument for it.
*I don’t say “evasion,” I say “avoision!”

It’s been on at 10pm on Tuesdays for a while; it used be on Sundays at 10, right after Housewives.

Denny Crane!

Wasn’t it great? Shirley’s nephew – “Giggity!” A shout out to Family Guy? Has to be!

“You dreamed we had sex!”

Loved the look on Julie’s face when she came in to work the morning after. “You slept with him, didn’t you? Slut.”

Loved the Jibber Jabber Judge, and was waiting for him to wink at Alan after he passed sentence, but that teensy nod was much better.

Earl/Office are on Thursdays, and Supernatural has been doing a lot of repeats. I think they repeat episodes on Fridays anyway, so Boston Legal doesn’t have anything to compete with at my house.

My sister/roommate and I watched it last night and loved it, except (once again) for the liberal grandstanding. Yes, we’re liberals too, but the show has become so freaking didactic. Does this bother anyone else?

Very much so. I don’t mind it when it’s subtle, funny, or just plain makes sense with what’s going on in the show (give us a gay Santa Claus!), but it seems like every other episode now is half good stuff and half trite “the government is evil! look at how evil the government is!” If I want to hear about that, I’ll read it in GD and get cites while I’m at it, thanks

Of course, even WITH that, the show is still better written than anything else on TV.

Loved how Denise was just plain bouncing when she came into work.

Well it is set in Boston ;).
