I find it very strange there is no change of venue. In my state change of venue is routine for major trials with a lot of local publicity. Why not here?
I can’t see the need for change of venue in any case except if there isn’t a large enough pool of jurors to get a jury that isn’t personally touched by the event. Lots of publicity, though stuff, I can still make a decision based on the facts no matter how much publicity there was. Defense attorneys stating otherwise insult my intelligence. Of course my thoughts on them can only be expressed in the pit.
