Botticelli March 2023

Ah, missed that, sorry.

He died a few years ago, but I’m not sure exactly when… Are you Logan’s Run co-author William Nolan?

I am not William Nolan.

It’s either going to be someone I have heard of and I’ll be kicking myself for not remembering, or someone I don’t know.

Ditto.

Ditto ditto.

Or I might have heard of the name, vaguely, but couldn’t tell you anything about him.

And , of course, that was supposed to read known afyer 1970, not 2960.

And wikipedia says Nolan died in 2021, so it couldn’t have been him anyway…
Curious to see who it is, as I’m coming up blank…

As am I.

Are we there yet?

We are!

I am the late author William Sleator best known for either House of Stairs or Interstellar Pig.

Do I pick a new person?

Never heard of him. Or those books.

House of Stairs was probably the first dystopic book I read.

I haven’t read anything by him yet, but my younger sister did give me Interstellar Pig last Christmas. So, I have heard of him, and you go again.

Looking over his Wikipedia page, The Boy who Reversed Himself is the only book that sounds familiar. Unless I only think that because of this.

Wiki says he wrote YA and kids’ books. I actually thought of asking that as a DQ (“Best known for adult fiction, rather than YA/children’s?”), but not until the deadline for DQs had passed. Wouldn’t have helped me, but maybe you or someone else…

Ignore this.

Never heard of him either. Next letter, kitap?

IQs:

  1. Did you write that book about that guy?
  2. Are you married to that actress?
  3. Did you do that bad thing last year?
