I wasn’t involved in this particular round of the game so my vote probably doesn’t count, but for the record while I know of his work, I don’t recognize his name. On the other hand that could also be said for 90% of the artists who regularly show up as the Botticelli answer.
What Buck said. This guy is obviously the 21st century version of Tin Pan Alley (proving that I’m old) with great success, but who of us old fuddy-duddies know who writes the pop hits? Then again, at the time, who knew Carole King? Betcha most people had no idea who she was until Tapestry.
Never heard of him. (Actually, the only Swedish musicians I can think of are ABBA, Sabaton, and First Aid Kit.)
The rule as I understand it is that if none of the players recognises the name, play reverts to the previous host, but if at least one player does know who the person is/was, but didn’t think of him, the current host continues. This appears to be an example of the former case.
