Brain-Dead Bozos on Broadway

I and some friends want to see a Broadway show in the near future but aren’t sure what’s worth seeing. We’ve seen “Chicago” about a half-dozen times and everything we were interested is either closed, closing before we can go or sold out (“The Producers”). “Little Shop of Horrors” is opening but I’ve seen the movie and don’t really want to bother with a stage production.

Any suggestions? How about off-Broadway?

You can go to Playbill to get a list of current shows, on and off Broadway. If I had to choose, I’d go for either Avenue Q, Wicked, or Movin’ Out. Wicked will be likely a tough ticket to get, though.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Ave Q.

I’d recommend Avenue Q, Wicked or the Boy from Oz, the last one just to see Hugh Jackman.

I hope you mean the Rick Moranis-Ellen Greene version and not the 1960 original.

Also stars Isabel Keating as Judy Garland. She’s from my home town of Savannah. I remember seeing her perform in small theater groups in the 80’s. Glad to see she’s hit the big time.
