Tyson, our polydactyl former stray, finally had her kitens last night!
(I know she should have been spayed, and she will be ASAP…she was a stray who gradually worked her way into our family and we never got aroud to it…)
In these pics the kittens are about an hour old. Only two and they still look like aliens, but they will grow cuter.
So far Tyson is a great mother!
Ooohhh, do I get to be the first to say, “Awwwwwwwww!”
And, “Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”

kittens!!! they do have a bearish/gizmo look before they become wee kittycats with mittens and puffy whiskers.
malenka the miraculous looked like a panda baby for 2-3 weeks then: alakazam!! overnight transformation in to a cute little kitten.

No, they will go to the SPCA when they are old enough. They will get homes.

So cute. I love the pic where momma has almost her whole body protecting them and her paw wrapped around her face. So sweet.
Keep momma in and get her spayed as soon as you can. It is not uncommon for cats to go into heat several weeks after having kittens and get pregnant and drop another litter almost the same time the first litter is almost weaned.

I love very young kittens. They’re adorable. I want to hold them and cuddle them and maybe even give them a nice warm bottle of KMR. Apparently Tyson loves her babies.
