Four of them (so far) born within the last hour. They are wet and ugly but should grow out of that.
Both parents are that old Standard Breed: Heinz 57. Mother is a calico and father is white w/black spots. I can’t really tell the babies’ colors yet.
I’ll dig out the camera and post pix when they are more presentable. If I’m allowed near them.

Looks like the total is four. Three are orange and white and one is a grey tabby.
Mother is resting comfortably and father keeps trying to climb in the box with her. I turned the door of the kitten box to the wall so he can’t get in. I don’t trust him.

I agree that its a good idea to keep the dad segregated for the time being. Although Lynn is right that some toms make good parents, some don’t, and there’s a chance that the Tom could sit on one of the little guys, which aren’s strong enough to squirm out from under. In two or three weeks he can get supervised visitation.
