I love Jockey and barely there bras. Both are made of mostly cotton with no underwire.
barrels, you might also suggest something for the “large bust” selection that actually comes in larger cup sizes. There’s nothing more disappointing than seeing a site has a collection for big boobies and then seeing that by big boobies, they mean “all the way up to a D cup.” I haven’t worn a D cup since high school.
Not my style at all, Barrels, but thanks anyway.
Another issue with underwires, aside from the fact I absolutely hate, despise, and loathe them, was that I used to spend a LOT of time at airports and a LOT of underwires trip the metal detectors, necessitating “extra special” attention from security, or so a lot of women underwire-wearing travelers told me. Who the hell would want to wear a bra that attracts attention from the TSA?
Anyhow - I know some women bitch about bras with 3 (or even more) hooks in the back, but I’d rather have a 5-hook monstrosity than an underwire. Clearly it’s a matter of preference but preferences in these matters can be pretty strong.
I am very petite, with small breasts, but apparently I have a freakishly large ribcage. I wear 36 A bras on the last hook, and even those are sometimes too tight. Due to my broad torso, underwire bras tend to pinch the sides of my breasts.
Solution? Girl’s bras. When I was a kid, the only bras for girls were sports bra things made of undershirt material. Now they actually sell bras with soft molded cups with no underwire in the girl’s section of department stores. If I scrounge, I can find a few in 36.
Embarassing? Yes. But since I also frequently buy girl’s size clothing, I think I’ll get over it.
Yeah, exactly. I saw that website and got excited, but I’m left out in the cold yet again. Large cups are not “D”. They are “D and up”. Preferably to at least a G; I say that because that’s mine, heh.
And don’t just have larger band sizes with larger cups. There are those of us with bigger boobs and a smaller ribcage.
