Belgians remind me of the Spanish: lots of pressure, constant presence on the other team’s half, but super low productivity. I hope it does not end up biting them in the ass. They really deserve this one, the US has laid zero claim to a win.

In this second half, it looks like the US is getting killed. It is a miracle of goalkeeping that Belgium doesn’t have 3-4 goals at this point.

I’m listening to the BBC (with former true World Class player Murphy providing his views) and apparently the US defence is playing terrifically and most of the Belgian attack should be substituted.
With all the last ditch tackles and tiptoe saves, they just seemed to have missed the US is being ripped apart.
ETA now Shearer is going on about how the US is showing how much they want it (just barely holding back they are the better side). These kind of things make me think it’s going to be a long, long time before the English will come close to a final again.
God, this is like watching the Rangers during this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs. If we win this, it’s totally due to Howard.

No one’s sure if the AR had the flag up for that or for the goal kick, but if he had a flag up for offsides he should be immediately shipped off - Wondo was a full yard onside on the replay.

Waiting to see if/what JK does with the third sub. You have to think if Jozy was remotely playable he’d be coming on here, so I’d think he’s not.
