No way, El Salvador will keep that record of goals against… Forever. ![]()
At least there is not going to be any lingering doubt about whether Neymar would have made a difference.
Now that I’m thinking…
One of my colleagues at the office is German. His wife is Brazilian.
Oh, I know somebody who’s going to be sleeping in the couch for quite a while after tonight… XD
OK guys … let’s try and keep it in single figures ![]()
I was talking this with another friend… Brazil team is good, but it is overhyped by both ans and anti-fans, and perhaps even more so by the anti-fans.
When I tell people I root for Brazil, just because, I get a talk about how I go for favorites, for powerhouses, for hype, etc. This from people who root for Germany, Holland, Argentina, France, and other equally strong teams. And that I don’t support underdogs.
Look, Brazil team has its faults and weaknesses, defence is one of them. And the people who give me those talks are exactly the people who overhype Brazil, not me.
I fully believed that there was no way FIFA was going to let Brazil lose. I also now believe Germany was holding back in group play.
To be honest I don’t think Germany is doing anything really special. It’s just utterly woeful defense by Brazil.
Yeah, I didn’t see the first half.
I have to agree with you, beyond being organized and fairly clinical when having a decent chance given to them, German haven’t shown any moments of brilliance - this is all about the sham that has been Brazil’s defence.
Despite having little to do, Neuer still has his reflexes.
And again! Nice save!
Brazil is pressing now, at the second half – but will it be enough to do something about the result?
And nice chance for Brazil right now, but Neuer was spot on!
Germany’s keeper is being mean.
Nice work from Neuer! Glad to see he’s not going to be left out of the fun.
Totally agree with this. Germany is playing well but Brazil’s defense seemed to be totally missing for the first half.
Brazil are throwing everything at Germany now…which is fine, they have to do something and will get chances but if they keep this up they are just going to get hit on the break again.
Are you serious? The game was over a long time back. It’s just a matter of pride now to see if Brazil can pull one or two back.
Thissums things up nicely.
I disagree. Brazil has created a few nice chances, and all they need now is a couple-three red cards on the Germans.
Seriously coming back from 2 down is a mountain against a team like Germany, from 3 down a virtual impossibility. Coming back from 4 or 5 down isn’t even worth talking about.
If you listen carefully, you may hear the same sound the Brazilian keeper has now heard almost half a dozen times: a gentle woosh…
