I missed the goal, but glad it went to Dempsey. Let’s see how Ghana responds.

I’m not mixing up the colors, but I have to say, Ghana’s jerseys might be the most stylish I’ve seen. There are these pretty little colorful details around the neck and arms that look very cool.

Bradley has improved a lot for the US since 2011 and he has legitimate skills, but man that bald look doesn’t work for him.
Yellow card for Ghana’s Rabiu. Ghana’s playing more frustrated. The US seems to be counting on a more bunker-counter style now. Just hope they don’t forget the second part. Tim Howard makes a good save, Dempsey gets kicked in the face, his nose is bleeding, might be broken, reckless but not malicious I think. Weird game.

Nice bit of reff’ing there - the pair of them got in an angry tumble on the ground, both backed off, and it ended up with a handshake in front of the headmaster.

Not a very good game, but USA have defended well.
Halftime. US played erratically and if they keep this up, I am not sure how they can hold onto the lead. Ghana blew a big chance to equalize right at the half. Still, 1-0 is a great result!
USA solid in central defence, Ghana forced out wide and relying almost exclusively on the right wing, but the crosses haven’t been any good. Yet.
Very dangerous moment there at the end, but Ghana messed it up right before the goal. Otherwise, fairly eventful first half - the scuffle with the I-kicked-you-you-tried-to-punch-me had potential for them both to be sent off, but they made up and peace reigned.
I agree that the US needs a second goal. Right now, everything seems . . . unstable.
