Well, I for one find the boards much faster. I’m pretty much “meh” on the editing feature, but I suppose it will come in handy on those too frequent typos.
In any case, thanks to the sys-admins who put it in and made it work. 
I just had to wait 3 minutes for a post to complete.
So, thinking I forgot to hit the button, I hit it again. It said it was “a duplicate of a post made in the last 5 minutes” and so it would be ignored and I would be sent to that thread.
Which took another 3 minutes. But my post was not there.
So I backed up and hit send again, got the same message.
So I varied the post by a couple words and tried a fourth time. After 3 more minutes it appeared, along with one of the prior 3 tries.
So I’m done for the day. Only so much work I’m willing to put in for one post to get through.
Maybe in a couple of days things will shake out? :hopeful:
About every third or fourth thread I try to open results in an inordinately lengthy lag. Forum jump almost always gets hung up and times out on me. On my end, at least, this is twice as bad as before. I haven’t noticed any measurable increase in board speed when threads are not getting hung up.
So what are our new perks? Edit, private messaging, faster server. Is there anything else I don’t know about (and want to shamelessly play with)?
You can play with the Capybaras if you like, though I hear they bite. They like cookies, it is rumored.
