Love to introduce this guy to a few of my female partners (at work) and show him just how very much we want to be led.
He can lead me around by my night sights any day.
You’ve got it exactly backwards: An analogous situation would be if people here were saying that brazil84’s view of marriage should be outlawed, which they aren’t. (at least not in this thread; I haven’t read the other one.) People who object to gay marriage are perfectly within their rights to do so, vociferously if they must, but it’s the legal ban on it that is the problem.
I haven’t said anything about marriage per se in this thread or the other one. This thread has nothing to do with marriage. I’m pitting a poster’s comments about women. Marriage is neither here nor there.
I’m curious what these laws of statistics might be and why they would guarantee anything about differences in the distributions of intelligence by gender.
As to the rest, I suspect microphallus.
Having read Dios posts on being the man of the house and having control over what his daughters do and who they speak to, frankly, remove the names in the OP and you could believe it was about Dio, and not by Dio.
I’m just curious: What’s your theory on numbers at the start of a username?
To the OP: I can endorse this pitting. However, it’s not as if he hasn’t been pitted before…
You seem to have some confusion about the difference between children and spouses.
Diogenes the Cynic: preening, sexist, self-imortant, gynophobic douche
Yeah, sounds right to me.

I have a theory that numbers at the end of a username generally indicate an idiot, an asshole, or some combination thereof.
Hey, screw you, I’m… oh, wait. Yeah, OK, I can see where you’re coming from.
There is a great deal of difference between acting paternalistcally towards women in general and acting paternalistically towards your own children. The latter is far more acceptable … the root word of “paternal” comming from “like a father”.
Pony up those sexist quotes, bro. Back up your shit.
Little dogs sometimes think they are the boss of a household, too. Everyone lets them because it’s so funny.
Shodan: sorry, but I don’t see the slightest nexus between the complaints in the OP and the issues related to same-sex marriage. I assume that the OP would be equally aghast at a husband who dealt with his spouse that way if the spouse in question were also a man.
Buckey: sorry, but I don’t think it’s fair to go after Dio on this subject merely because he expressed similar views about his minor children. You may disagree with those views, but it’s obvious there’s a principled distinction between a wife and your kids.
Dio: meh. I think there’s a wide range of appropriate relationships, and it’s for adults to select that relationship which pleases them. What’s described would make me very uncomfortable… but I knew a couple in a similar power-exchange relationship, and they didn’t call it “Biblical…” They called it “Twenty-four hour lifestyle D/s.”
If I hadn’t changed my user name recently I would totally change it and put numbers it just based on this post.
[Joking Jr. modding]This ain’t GD. If you want to debate start a new thread.[/joking jr. modding]
This is the best thing I’ve read in a long time! And so true!
OK, I’m here. What’s your beef with me?
But he is suggesting that all women want to be subordinate to men, even those who claim otherwise.
So the equivalence here would be if people were arguing for gay marriage because everyone secretly wanted to have gay sex even if they don’t admit it.
And brazil84’s dream marriage is already legal so the issue of enshrining it into law is non-existent.
In other words, there is no equivalence. Maybe in the next episode of Strawman Theatre, you can explain how opposing tax cuts is really a form of sexism.
Bricker nailed it. Dio etc are totally OK with any alternative lifestyle . . . unless Jesus is involved, and then it’s all terrible and horrible.
They aren’t. They are, however, great believers in their own superiority over the other members of this board: a curious prison without walls, filled with grotesque creatures they loathe, from which they are inexplicably powerless to escape.
