Could be something to this - numbers don’t look as clean as letters in a username, and often seem to be employed because the user couldn’t think of anything better. So it could indicate a certain lack of creativity, along with the virtues that tend to go with it. But there are way too many decent posters with numbers in their names for this rule to have any great force. Maybe it just increases the odds of douchiness - from, say, one in fifty to one in twenty.
Which of the reasons you have for objecting to his view of marriage do not apply to objections to gay marriage? Keep in mind that brazil84 has nowhere suggested that his idea of marriage should be enshrined into law.

I don’t see anybody saying he shouldn’t be allowed to have whatever kind of marriage he wants. Just that’s he’s a misogynistic dick. Not really seeing your point.
No one’s saying his kind of marriage should be outlawed. Merely that it’s kind of creepy. And you can’t say, “But what about gay marriage!” because the objections people have to each are very different. Gay marriage involves people who happen to be of the same gender. It doesn’t speak to how the people relate to each other. Biblical marriage basically says that one person dominates the other.
Because the objection isn’t as much about his view of marriage as it is about his view of women.
No one’s suggesting that his idea of marriage should be illegal, merely that he’s pathetic, mostly for assuming most women want a domineering partner and a traditional role in the home, which, looking at current social trends, is patently retarded.
He’s also doing any daughters he has a disservice. I spend a lot of time talking to younger people, both at work and online, and the boys aren’t going to want girls who aren’t going to be equal partners in a relationship. So, their options will be to adapt, put up with ever more radical men on the fringe who subscribe to daddy’s beliefs, or learn their lessons, get out, and end up scrubbing my kid’s toilets because of their lack of career skills.
He’s a yowling relic of a dying culture, much like those that decry gay marriage. We’re really paying him too much credence.
