Bread Rambo

Sylvester Stallone was filming near where I work last week. He is the actor who was in the Rocky and Rambo films, as our local paper helpfully pointed out. He was filming an advert for a large baking company. My colleagues and I had a discussion as to whether we’d recognize him as it is somewhat incongruous to have famous film stars wandering about around here. He can’t need the money and wouldn’t have come for the culture, so I can’t imagine what motivation he would have to be here.

This post is pointless and mundane, so I hope it’s in the right place.

Trust me, it’s the money. If I was an actress the only question I’d ask, when being offered a job, would be “Will the check clear?”

The fact that “He can’t need the money” has nothing to do with it.

If someone offered you a nice sum of money for doing a day’s work; are you saying you’d turn it down even if you didn’t need it?

It could be doing someone a favor, but he’s probably not doing it for free.
