With all the advances in packaging that allow items to be easily resealed, and retain freshness, why do specialty breads still come in celophane wrappers that are difficult to open and impossible to reseal?
The damn loaves are expensive and, if you don’t move the bread to a resealable cover, it dries out rather quickly. Just seems that some better packaging would be more consumer friendly and improve sales.
I was just wondering about this. My bread comes in cellophane on the inside of a plastic bag. I just cut off the top of the cellophane and leave the bread in it, inside the plastic bag. It seems to stay much fresher that way. It’s a bit of a production, though…first thing in the morning and all.
Yeah! Bread should come as individually-wrapped slices, like Kraft cheese singles!
