Breaking Bad 10/02/11 "End Times"

Bob, I’m not looking, but where did it come from? Is it speculation or a fact that you got from somewhere?

I found it in the TWoP Breaking Bad spoiler forum.

Not really speculation, or a fact… it’s a photo.

The photo looks like it could be a ridiculous fake, but a screencap from the finale promo shows corroborating evidence that the photo could be real. If it is real, it reveals the demise of a major character. Also, if real, the photo was taken on set between takes (You’ll know what I mean if you see the photo, or take a look at it later).

Made me littrally laugh out loud.

Anyway, any theory about Walt poisoning Brock that hinges on Huell being deft enough to swap out Jesse’s pack of cigarettes without being noticed… yeah, I don’t think so. If Walt did do it, and I don’t think he did, no way is that how he got the cigarette away from Jesse.

anywho…there was no indication, IIRC, that Andrea actually passed on Jesse’s info
about the ricin to the doctors. This would explain the lack of any law enforcement personnel around the hospital.
Her mother’s scathing look toward Jesse seems to be, " He’s scum. It’s all his fault.". etc etc; so why would you believe anything he says?

Dude! How about some warning before posting something that major?

As I mention whenever I predict something for this show I have rarely if ever been accurate in predicting anything for this show, but that said I don’t think it’s genuine. Among other things
There’s no way it’s a still from the show because nobody could possibly survive a blast like that. Also, if they really did use that in the show that’s not all make-up, part of it is CGI, and you wouldn’t use CGI to make him complete “After the bomb” picture if it’s just G.Esposito lounging around the set that day.

I think it’s either a red herring or a shot from one of G.E.'s other movies. I’m not familiar enough with his career to know if he’s ever been blown up in a movies but it wouldn’t surprise me.
But since I think it’s fake it’s probably accurate.

Or maybe it’s:
A dream sequence/fantasy/drug induced hallucination.

Or maybe the show so far has been a dream. Walt wakes up and in reality he is battling a group of zombies, all of whom became characters in the dream.
Regarding the other spoiler:

A shard from a dinner plate.

I’ve always thought they were going to pull a Newhart for the final episode with Bryan Cranston waking up in bed next to Jane Kaczmarek. He’s had nightmares ever since he took a part time job at that chicken place where his shift boss Jesse does meth.

Thanks for keeping everything boxed. I suspect this finale is going to blow our minds and make us count the days until season 5

A friend of mine an I were talking about the show and laughed about the thought of Gus getting severely crippled and ending up in the convalescent center with Don Salamanca having wheel chair fights. Also, how cool would it be if Skyler somehow took the ricin?

That would be pretty interesting. I can imagine a situation where Gus is out of commission (unable to communicate as well) and Walt stops by and visits from time to time, give him status updates about the situation of the meth trade in ABQ and otherwise torment him about how he’s taken everything over. However since Gus really has no family that (at least not that we know of), Walt really can’t torture Gus the way that Gus has tortured Don/Hector/Tio Salamanca.

But I say “I can imagine” I don’t think something like that would actually play out. Seems more like a fanfic thing then something that would actually happen on the show. I don’t think there’s enough time left for something like that.

That’s the nice thing about the next (last) season - it’s supposed to be a nice meaty 16 episodes, so plenty of time to work with. The 1st season was 7 episodes, and the 2nd-4th were 13. (Hmmm, lucky #7 followed by three unlucky #13’s… I wonder if there’s anything to that?) Maybe the final season will be effectively over at #13 and the final three episodes will be a sort of epilogue.

The spoiler posted by** Bob Ducca** is fake because (no spoiler):

Gus is too awesome to die in a suit like that.

Possible — though I’d think it more appropriate if they sat perfectly still, glaring at each other from across the room, angrily ringing their little bells.

But come to think of it, has Uncle Tio lost his bell? I don’t remember seeing it this season. I think a nurse must have taken it away some time ago, because he was scaring the other patients.

The other patients? Hell, Tio scares me, and he’s both wheelchair-bound and fictional. I’m fully ambulatory and very real - but I’d hate to get on that man’s bad side.

I clearly remember Gus telling Walt that he had kids. It was when he had Walt at his house and served some kind of fish soup. Gus said that he liked it but rarely got to eat it because his kids don’t like it. Granted, he could have been lying, but I see no reason to think that.

Agreed.

Although that does make it amusing to imagine the nurses coming by, talking to him in that sweet but patronizing way nurses sometimes do, like mothers talking to their small children — and Tio helpless to do anything about it.

“Hmmmm, I guess Señor Tio doesn’t want his Jell-O today! Well that’s all right. But you are going to have to finish your soup! C’mon. Open up. Open up, Mr. Tio. Now don’t you give me that look, mister!

“Oh, you have a visitor! It’s that nice Mr. Fring from the chicken restaurant. I’ll leave you two alone then.”

Poor little psychopath.

For anyone still here: a new AV Club interview with Giancarlo Esposito.

He speaks to the issue of whether Gus and the other chemist were lovers. Well, sort of speaks to it.

What was funny was that when Saul made sure to give Jesse his money before Saul booked out of town, it made me realize that Saul is one of the most ethical, decent guys on the entire show. He’s been pretty fair to his clients, he’s felt bad about doing shit like calling Hank about his wife’s ficticious accident, etc. He’s sleazy and yet seemingly a good guy fundamentally.

Which would be funny if my realization came as part of an operation to help Walt trick Jesse into thinking Gus poisoned a kid.

Has Saul ever mentioned a wife or kids? I’m assuming if he was ever married he’s divorced. I think it’d be funny if they showed his home at some place and it’s one of the most tastefully decorated places ever- total contrast from his crass and flashy office and demeanor.
