Breaking Bad 10/02/11 "End Times"

I think she’s just afraid that one of Hank’s leads might somehow eventually lead to Walt.

I think she also knows as well as us how stupid it was to convince Hank that Gale wasn’t Heisenberg. Not that she knows that he’s Heisenberg, she clearly saw Hank take a closer look at a case that he otherwise wouldn’t have because of something Walt did. She knows, based on things Walt has said, that Hank is close to him. She knows that Walt was very close to Gale and that Hank is investigating his death and that they worked together.
I’m not sure if she’s aware of the Gale/Chicken/Gus/Laundry connection though.

I’ve been doing really well catching all the times I’ve typed “Jessee” accidentally. I don’t know why my middle finger wants two es at the end there, but I keep reeling it back in.

So Rick Springfield never even had a chance, did he?

Never knew that. I’ve never seen it spelled as Jessie for a boy but about 3 seconds of googling tells me it could go either way.

Link to the opening scene of Face Off. It doesn’t explain (or spoil) anything.

In case anyone’s interested, Bryan Cranston is interviewed by Marc Maron on today’s new episode of WTF. No spoilers but some teases about finale.

Great interview with Bryan’s own teaser for the finale. Based on what he said, I’ve changed my mind about this whole Brock incident.

The whole thing was orchestrated by Walt working in concert with Saul. As some people have already pointed out Saul’s big bodyguard sure looked like he lifted something from Jesse’s left pocket which was where he kept his cigarettes. It’s pretty obvious if you slow down the action when he frisked Jesse. So that’s how the pack of cigs was switched. Walt cooked up something (not ricin) that made Brock sick and had one of Saul’s guys arrange to get it into Brock somehow. Then the rest was what we saw. The fact that Gus genuinely looked surprised when Jesse said that Brock was poisoned adds to this theory. It also set off Gus’ inner alarm bells about Walt setting him up. Walt needed someone close enough to Gus to set up the hit on Gus, and that person was Jesse. The reason why Saul was so agitated and had to get away was that he knew that Gus would go after him if the whole plan fails. I also bet that the gun that Walt left on the table wasn’t even loaded. I may be all wrong, but this all makes sense to me.

In case you aren’t able to hear the Maron interview, here are the teases that Cranston gives about the finale… no spoilers, nothing given away, but definitely has my mind racing with possibilities…

Transcribing as best I can:

"There is an Oh.My.GOD! moment, almost near the end. It’s like, hold your head… you can’t believe what you just saw.

Then, there’s a scene with two characters that tie up some loose ends, answer some of the questions that were lingering… and that’s resolved.

And then, almost insignificantly, almost forgettable. The last scene… there is no dialogue. There are no actors. It’s a familiar exterior scene, if you’ve watched the show you’ll recognize the place, an exterior shot, and you don’t even know really what you’re looking at. You’re like something and it’s like, ‘yeah, so?’ and the camera slowly pushes in…pushes in… pushes in…and you don’t even know where it’s going… it’s innocuous… And then all of a sudden, it rests on an object. And once you recognize, and understand that meaning of that object… you hold your head once more and go, NO!!! HOLY SHIT!!! NO!!! Black out. End of the season."

Damn, Bob Ducca, now that’s a teaser.

This won’t spoil anything if you read Bob Ducca’s spoiler.

Okay. So let’s list some possible objects.

Tuco’s house in the desert. Something identifying of Walts

That was a great interview. One hell of a teaser. I wish I didn’t hear that because now I’m even more excited about watching the final episode.

Missed some obvious ones.[ul][]A cellphone[]A stolen tiara[/ul]

I’ll do you one better

The lab, a blue barrel, pan around to the back to see crutches leaning up against it…okay, that was for dramatic effect, it could also be something of Sky’s or an article of baby clothes on the floor

I think it will be some variation on this idea. An item belonging to someone close to Walt (one of Walt Jr’s crutches was one of my first guesses) in a location that could only mean that very bad things have happened to that person (Tuco’s house in the desert, the junkyard, etc).

[ul][]Pancakes[]Eyebrows[/ul]Okay, I’m having too much fun with this.

I think confirmation of a bug (from Gus) in Jesse’s house would be a good setup going into the final season…or hell, showing us that the feds have a newly installed bug in Gus’ house for that matter.

I’m not sure either of those would make me react like Bob Ducca said. It sounds like something totally unexpected.

In the downtime, while the show isn’t running, I’d suggest that everyone who hasn’t seen it watch the reruns of Malcolm in the Middle. It’s an utterly different character, but the way Walt acts when he’s losing control of a situation, he (IMHO) seems to be channeling Hal.

Also, something I’ve been saying for many many years is that Bryan Cranston shows more range in Malcolm in the Middle then most actors do in their entire career…and it’s a great show to boot.

MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR (possibly) spoiler for the finale. Seriously, if you’re adverse to being spoiled at all - don’t read or click on the link inside the box.

Seriously… This is a big one.

No idea where this pic came from originally, buta photo of what looks like Gus Fring being featured in an episode of Walking Dead was posted on a spoiler forum recently. Definitely looks like Esposito, possibly relaxing on set a bit between takes (as you’ll see from the photo, this probably isn’t actually from the episode). When I first saw the pic, I thought “No way is that real. Impossible.”

However, when you look at the other photo of Gus in this side-by-side comparison, you can see that there are certain similarities that really seem to point to this being a legit spoiler photo. Note, the second pic of Gus walking outside in front of some building is taken from the finale promo (see it here at about the 23-second mark (what is that building behind Gus, anyway?)

Like I said, I don’t know if its legit or not - but given the title of the finale, “Face Off”, and the matching suits… I say we have a pretty good idea of what happens to Gus.

Seriously guys… This could be complete bullshit but if it’s legit, it’s a big spoiler. Don’t look if you don’t want to be spoiled.
