Breaking Bad 3.03 "I.F.T." OPEN SPOILERS

Re the little kid – actually, that might be something good to lay at Walt’s door. Jesse was at the house because the kid’s parents had ripped off one of Jesse’s dealers, and Walt insisted that Jesse get the money back. If Jesse hadn’t been there, the situation probably wouldn’t have changed for the kid.

You have the timeline correct, but Walt does disturb Jane - she’s sleeping side by side with Jesse in the position she taught him to prevent choking. Walt tries to wake Jesse up by shaking him, and in the process knocks Jane on her back, and after a few seconds she starts to choke.

I stand corrected… just rewatched Episode 212, Phoenix and SenorBeef’s description of those events is accurate.

I don’t blame Walt for Jane’s relapse. I blame him for letting her die. He made a decision to keep selling after his remission which leads to the money Jane blackmails him with. If he never had problems with drug money then he could have saved Jane with no problems.

Awesome - thanks. Very tight edit there - easy for me to mishear it.

Maybe. Doesn’t quite jibe with the way he kept calling her voicemail, though.

I chuckled when the opening credits listed him as a guest star. It reminded me of when in the Police Squad opening credits the listed guest star died before the show started.

I see the choices made by those considered to be the upstanding members of society and realize that they all think they have some moral high ground when it’s all an illusion. It’s all Pleasant Valley Sunday this show. Brilliant science teacher Walt (who’s a meth cook with a price it now seems on his entire family’s head) and his lovely wife Skylar (who’s a control freak who would rather keep up appearances than turn in any of her family for anything). Top cop Hank (a racist as well as I suspect misogynistic and homophobic who is all talk but a chicken) and his lovely wife Marie (a bored housewife that shop-lifts). Jessie’s parents (who disown their son using his drug abuse as an excuse when really it is out of shame that he is not as brilliant and obedient as their little Einstein) and I assume honor role younger child (who will also be screwed up loosing his older brother in such a cruel way). All I can think is “Jessie is the only respectable person on this show.” And that is a rough conclusion to come to in my opinion.

I don’t know if she would or would not have died if Walt were not there. What I recall from that episode is that Jane rolled over and started to choke and Walt was about to turn her back onto her side, than stopped and decided to let her die. I presume it was to cover his butt regarding the blackmail. And I am not sure if he thought he was also protecting Jessie by getting her out of his life because of the heroin use. My jury is still out on that one. I consider that death to be Walt’s fault.

I don’t remember if he knew that the man in the bar was her father. I am thinking he did not know until the news report of the crash.
