I’m not sure what episode it was. Within the first couple episodes of meeting him, though.
I don’t remember that at all. I’m not having any luck finding it online either.
Wow. Thanks for posting that. I hadn’t seen it. Is it possible for this damn show to get any more intense? It appears to be so!
But the only reason there were complications there was because of Gus, and the adversarial relationship he and Walt had. Now that Walt thinks he’s Gus, he might not have that apprehension.
Wow, that’s a lot more extensive than the brief preview I saw before. (Didn’t watch your linked video - just read your description.)
I do very vaguely remember Mike with a bloody nose and wondering what was up with that, and if/when we would find out.
Thinking about this more, I’m wondering if it’s a false memory confabulated with when he had Victor’s blood on his sleeve after Gus killed him. <shrug>
ETA: I could swear I have an image of Mike with a bloody nose, but since Walt is also bald and has had bloody noses, it’s probably that.
I miss the Aztec and the blue tape on the windshield that he would never remove when Walt invariably ended up with yet another broken windshield and had it replaced. Now whenever I see one of those fugly cars out on the road, I always think of Walter White.
Hey, that probably increased their value. That reminds me of an alarm clock I saw on the show (there was a big close-up shot of it: silver with blue numbers), and thought “that’s a pretty sexy alarm clock.” It just so happened that the one I had was 8-9 years old and giving out, so I went to Target to buy a new one and lo and behold, they had the very same model in stock! So I’m now the proud owner of a Walter White alarm clock. Only cost me $19.99.
Now I just have to find a Heisenberg hat.
I was surprised by the mechanic’s assessment of the Aztec in the episode where Walt ended up selling it to him for $50, calling it “solid”. From what I can tell, the Aztec is a POS in every regard. Especially in the looks department.
People, people - this show is all about accuracy.
It’s a Pontiac Aztek with a “k” at the end, just to add a little bit more of an insult to your humanity when you buy one.
If i were to buy one the insult would go far beyond humanity…
Oh, k—the humanity!
I had completely forgotten about the kid until he showed up again at the end.
Good lord, just had a thought. Do you think if the DEA has Mike dead to rights, he’d throw Walt under the bus and wear a wire?
And could you imagine the look on Hank’s face when he realizes that’s Walt’s voice.
Then again, I don’t think there’d be much reason to wear a wire.
I can’t see Mike rolling for anyone.
Maybe the heat is on and Walt and Jesse are about to be captured. Then maybe Walt’s cancer comes back. Walt, in a final act of redemption, convinces Jesse to rat out the crew and go into witness protection.
Yeah, plus how Marie mentioned the counselor=person she was seeing (or had been - forget actual specific details). Marie had asked Walt if Skyler was getting help, and Walt told Marie in so many words “yes, she is seeing a guy named Peter ‘something’ up in…” and told how it seemed to be helping, etc. Viewers could tell he was making it up then and there to satisfy Marie’s kinda-pushy “What’s the counselor’s name?” Marie gushed on a bit about the ‘wonderfully helpful’ counseling she had gotten for her problem.
While not specifically stating it was for her klepto, its clear Walt does not need details as he already knows the why of Marie’s visits to mental-health professional(s). Marie had no problem bringing up and also giving name of the guy treating her and would not have said it like that if Walt was ignorant of Marie’s basic problem.
I forget if it was this episode or the previous one, fwiw, but Walt does know at least the basics of why Marie told him she knows of a great counselor. I liked how Walt told Skyler later ~“Oh, by the way, you are seeing a counselor now. A guy named Peter something up in (name of area). I had to tell Marie and how you handle it is up to you”.
Regarding the last link to next week’s preview, thanks! I was already obsessively being impatient for Sunday to get here, but with Walt’s word ‘Empire’…damn. This series blows me away with how it gets me thinking of the finer points of each character. Best show ever! Just yesterday, told wife I want a Heisenberg hat. Guess I’ll need the sunglasses, too ![]()
Mike knows full well who Hank is, so if he was going to become an informant, he would just tell Hank what his BIL is up to. But yeah, I don’t see him being a rat at all.
Nitpick: I think he said something more like "… his last name is up to you. "
Make sure to have the colour customized as “putty” or whatever you call that awful colour Walt’s car was. ![]()
Just like all of you guys getting Heisenberg hats, I’ll bet some Aztek owner has done just that … ![]()
And on your way home from the Aztek dealer, you can pick up some Froot Loops and Cheez Whiz.
