Breaking Bad 5.14 "Ozymandias" 9/15/13

When Skyler walked towards the kitchen island, I wasn’t sure if she was going for a knife or the cordless phone. And then when she picked up the knife, I thought for a moment that she intended to kill herself.

Right, he would said ‘oh no, now we can’t get Walt.’ Put it this way: he was more concerned about nailing Walt than protecting Jesse. It was not his finest moment.

I noticed that it was the right side of Jesse’s face that was fucked up this time. Every other time he got the shit beat out of him, it was the left side of his face that took the abuse. Don’t know why I noticed that.

I think Jesse will end up killing Todd. He should get to kill somebody before it’s over.

When Skyler asked, “You killed Hank?” was anyone else expecting Walt to say “What’s one more?”

I noticed that too. Is Todd or one of the Nazis left handed? Also, the marks on his face looked more like cuts or whip marks. The other times (or at least the other time he landed in the hospital with his eye swollen shut) he was hit.

When they kept asking where Hank was I wanted him to say “In a hole in the desert.”

The applause would be deafening.

No. He was genuinely heartbroken about Hank.

The next episode going to be a montage of Walt punching slabs of beef, running up steps, and shooting targets out in the woods.

Well now my mind is racing with possibilities about what Walt’s gonna do with that big ass machine gun.
I see really only one plausible possibility (I’ll spoiler it just in case no one wants to know my theory)

Suicide rescue mission for Jesse

Gale doesn’t count?

After almost an hour to calm down, I find myself oddly saddened that we may have seen the last of Badger and Skinny Pete. Not that anything happened tonight to impact them; I just don’t see how there will be room to fit them in to the remaining two episodes. I guess the Star Trek scene was their swan song.

What’s Gale, chopped liver or something?

GAH! - Ninja’d by Snarky_Kong

He didn’t really want to kill Gale. He wants to kill Walt and he wants to kill Todd. I think one of them will die at Jesse’s hand.

That was some cold shit between Walt and Jesse out in the desert. If there was any doubt that Jesse will come after Walt if he gets the chance, that quashed it. Jesse will survive somehow. Perhaps Walt will come after the Nazi boys for killing Hank (hence the M-60), and, thinking Jesse is dead, will not be expecting him to be there. Jesse kills Walt in the end.

I think we can rule that out based on the last few minutes of last week’s episode and the first few weeks of this one. I still think Walt has to come back to protect his family. The only other possibility I can see would be destroying some final piece of evidence, but with Hank dead and most of the money gone that may have taken care of itself.

If so they went out on a hi oh fuck it I’m too sad to make this pun.

I think he’ll have a change of heart. Perhaps I’m wrong.
Maybe he’ll go all Rambo and try to take back his money from the Nazis.

For those pondering the significance of the name “Holly”: It is also

Vince Gilligan’s girlfriend’s name.

Just finished watching…

Oh, god, that was gut-wrenching! I just want to curl into a ball and cry.

There’s also an X Files episode featuring a Holly. Guess who wrote it.

I also thought a cool teaser opening to this episode might have been the lights flashing on that empty fire truck.

No matter how great the next two episodes are, I won’t be fully satisfied unless Jesse kills Todd.
