Breaking Bad 5.16 "Felina" 9/29/13 SERIES FINALE

If it makes you feel any better, I’ve reformed from my “Skylar”-typing days. And I never got “Jesse” wrong in the first place!

Agreed that they took pains to show Todd sipping herbal tea just like Lydia. Was it just a joke moment (stone-cold dead-eyed killer adopts charming grandmotherly tipple to make a girl like him), or an indication they’re both on the Ricin list?

Wouldn’t it be funny if Marie found out about Lydia, stole something of hers, and used the “I found this personal item and want to return it” as an opportunity to poison her? Especially if it was . . . a SPOON! ( . . . um, engraved with her . . . cell phone number or . . . something. This is why I’m not a TV writer.)

That’s what people said before Hank got capped in the head.

I read on Reddit’s Breaking Bad subreddit that the Gray Matter interview informed Walt that someone was still making blue meth. That means that like Gray Matter, the Nazi’s are making millions off of Walt’s idea after getting rid of Walt. That’s why I think Walt will go after the Nazis and not Gretchen and Elliot.

Todd and the Nazis have to die. There’s no way the show writers will not make them pay for their sins.

The real mystery is what happens to Jesse? I have no clue where his arc will end.

I hope they’re able to recover Hank’s body so Marie is able to erect a nice head mineral.

I thought he took a body shot.

Here’s a prediction, Walt tries to make the world right before dying.

The music used for the teaser is great. I think the lyrics in Junip’s Line of Fire says a lot of what is going on in Walt’s mind. The lyrics tell a story. I think Heisenburg is the persona Walt put on so he would have the confidence to create his empire and do his evil. As Walter White he could never be in this world. In the last episode Heisenburg is gone. He was Walter White giving up the fight when Grey Matter was shown. I don’t think it was ego but Walt’s need to correct all the wrong that makes him go back. There is something in Grey Matter that is vulnerable to what Walt knows about the company. He will find a way to make sure his children have a trust fund. In the showdown with the Nazi’s Walt saves Jesse and gives him the empire money because he has Brock to take of. Jesse who has suffered at the hands of he Nazis now takes the money. Skyler goes to jail, Marie ends up with Holly as recompense for Hanks death so the Schrader name doesn’t die. The transformation is complete and Walt may die from complications of the homemade chemo drip or the cancer itself.

Talk about coming late to the party: I just found out that Walking Dead and Breaking Bad are in the same universe.

Slide 19. Shows a hand reaching into a bag of blue meth.

Either way, my point was really that people were claiming Hank wouldn’t get killed as a result of the shoot-out because “the show never does what you expect.”

They should have cameo appearances by Harvey Keitel and Steve Buscemi as the future Mr. White and Mr. Pink(man).

The shootout location would have been rapidly identified by the authorities. Tribal police or Highway Patrol would have found Walt’s abandoned car in short order. Since it’s only a short distance from a cook site already known to be connected to Walt’s product, the DEA would obviously send somebody out there to have a look. I predict we’ll see Hank and Gomie’s bodies being discovered. My guess is that it will just a brief scene showing a technician with ground-penetrating radar sweeping the area, stopping, and then whistling and signaling to the rest of the personnel that he’s found something.

Hasn’t it been posited that Blue Sky was the cause of the zombie outbreak, or maybe some black project at Gray Matter?

The slide about Cranston giggling every time he sees his tiny BB tattoo made me think it’s because “BB” stands for the two billion dollars he took home for the show.

Flipped on the tube for a few minutes of the BB marathon last night. First scene I saw was the flashback to Don Elado’s pool where Gus’s partner (lover?) gets capped. Don Elado says to Gus, “The only reason you are alive is because I know who you are.”

I wonder if that loose end gets tied up tomorrow? My guess is real Nazi connections in South America that lead back to Madrigal.

If Matt and Trey are smart, they’ll do a ‘Breaking Bad’ episode of South Park on Wednesday.

This finale is getting so much attention! My brother and I both knew it was ending, so we started watching it on Netflix. Now that we’re caught up, it’s like we’re part of a television event. This is pretty big. It’s all anyone is talking about.

Now we’re wondering if ‘Mad Men’ is worth catching up on, it might mean I have to keep Netflix for longer than I intended. I don’t hear much about ‘Mad Men’ these days, has it maintained it’s quality?

I doubt it very much. There’s just no way they would have enough time to go into Gus’ full backstory. His exact role in the Pinochet government and the reasons behind his eventual exodus to Mexico to become a restaurateur will forever remain a mystery unless they somehow incorporate it into Better Call Saul. If you ask me though, that would be a far more interesting prequel than a show about Saul’s rise from law student to strip mall shyster.

I would love for the final preview to be the “Hello, Carol” scene and then the action to start from there.

I just stumbled upon another BB Easter egg that strangely enough, doesn’t immediately pop up in a cursory Google. Francesca (Honey Tits) was in a 2009 movie called Leaves of Grass—a story about a plot to take down a drug dealer.

About 10 minutes from showtime… I have a glass of whiskey and a slice of my wife’s “Blue Sky” Blueberry Pie (also known as Bitchberry Pie depending on when you ask).

I’m all yours Vince, have your way with me.

With five minutes to go, I’ve got to get this out of my system:

Waaaaalt!

Thank you. I feel better now.

I’m all aquiver with anticipation.

All bad things are coming to an end.
